AgingNext Villagers Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary

The cause was mission driven for AgingNext. It all started 10 years ago when the AgingNext Board, staff, and a group of active community leaders got together and formed AgingNext Village (then called REAL Connections). The Village formed to fill a need and answer the question of how to age at home, while remaining independent and active in the community we call home.

Over the years, AgingNext Village has welcomed new members and volunteers, provided services, produced excellent social and educational programs, and extended our reach through our community partnerships, social media and forming member affinity groups.

In recent years, our focus on social connectivity has resonated and strengthened us. One recent focus, during the Pandemic and beyond, has been to ensure that active, vibrant older adults feel valued, essential and in charge of their own lives by remaining connected to one another.

Whether you are a member, volunteer, community supporter, or all three, you are part of our treasured Village! We are all profoundly grateful to allthose who join as members, contributing financial resources through their annual membership which sustains our Village. We appreciate our valued Village volunteers and member/volunteers who support us by giving their time and spreading a bit of kindness and sunshine just when it’s needed the most! Our Village is better because of the wonderful community partnerships we have formed over the years. These partnerships support us in many ways and for that, we are thankful.

As we continue to move forward, together, we wish all our Villagers a joyful and promising next 10 years defined by what matters most: independence through interdependence. After all, we are all in this together!

Live your best life at every age...
